Controlled Open Enrollment and Magnet Fair Charlotte County Public Schools will open the Controlled Open Enrollment window in January, allowing parents and guardians to apply for a school other than their child’s assigned geographic school for the 2026–27 school year. Families can explore specialized programs and opportunities at the upcoming CCPS Magnet Fair on January 27 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Centennial Park Gym. Key Details: ● Open Enrollment runs January 1–31, 2026. ● School choice depends on space availability; a random lottery will be held in early February if requests exceed capacity. ● The Magnet Fair will showcase district programs including aviation, cybersecurity, and advanced manufacturing. ● Reassignment forms are available at all schools, the Murdock district office, and online at www.yourcharlotteschools.net. ● Transportation is not provided for reassigned students. ● Out-of-county students no longer need a release form from their county of residence. ● Questions: call 941-255-0808, ext. 2141.
