Hello Kingsway families! I am super excited to be named the principal of Kingsway Elementary! I was born and raised in Charlotte County. I attended Neil Armstrong Elementary School, Port Charlotte Middle School, and Port Charlotte High School. My Grandfather was a school principal at East Elementary and Neil Armstrong Elementary, so I have always wanted to be an elementary principal. Education is my passion.
After earning my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from FSU (Go Noles!), I taught 6th grade at Punta Gorda Middle School. I went back and earned my Master’s Degree and Doctorate Degree from FGCU in Fort Myers. I then worked as an assistant principal in DeSoto County and Lee County before returning to Charlotte County as the principal at Vineland Elementary School. Most recently, I served as the Human Resources Director for CCPS. However, I realized how much I missed being around students. When I had the opportunity to come to KES as Principal, I could not pass it up. I am so excited!
My husband Michael is a high school teacher, and we have two amazing children, Kylie and Michael Jr. I live in the Kingsway community and my children will attend KES. I am thrilled to be here and cannot wait to work with you, the students, and the staff at KES. I am collaborative and have an open-door policy. I cannot wait to meet you all! #KESTheCougarWay
