Patrol of the Month

We love recognizing our hard-working patrols. For the month of August the winner was… Raven A!

Raven is the quintessential fifth-grade safety patrol, consistently going above and beyond to ensure our school day starts and ends on a high note. Every morning, she welcomes students with a bright smile, impeccable manners, and a cheerful "Good Morning!" that instantly sets a positive tone for the day. Her helpful nature truly shines when she is caring for our younger students, offering them extra guidance and support so they feel safe and confident. In the afternoons, Raven serves as a fantastic asset at Parent Pick-Up, managing her pole with responsibility. By naturally embodying our school’s LEAD expectations, Raven acts as a role model for her peers to emulate and demonstrates what true student leadership is all about.

Raven has shown exceptional leadership tackling the challenging morning duty of monitoring the side stairs near the first-grade rooms. Tasked with retraining students on a reinforced safety procedure that had been lacking in past years, she routinely redirects 4th and 5th graders—many of whom are her own peers. Enforcing rules with friends isn't easy, but Raven handles it effortlessly, using kindness and patience to guide them back to the cafeteria and center staircase. Through it all, she maintains a genuine smile, warmly greeting everyone and wishing Kingsway students a bright good morning. Her ability to break old habits, consistently enforce safety protocols, and spread positivity makes Raven truly deserving of Safety Patrol of the Month.
